Full Details

History
Believed to have been built in the 17th Century, Ford Cottage was the farm house for Ford Farm, one of four farms within the Chandler's Ford area during this time. From 1885 until after the Second World War it was farmed by the Fortune family, hence the postal address 'Fortune Court'. The home graces the cover of 'Chandler's Ford, A Pictorial History' and is mentioned/pictured in many other books about the history of the village.

Ground Floor
The welcoming entrance hallway provides access to the downstairs WC, first floor via the staircase, kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fitted with a range of cupboards and drawers, chest level fitted oven, gas hob with extractor hood over and integral fridge/freezer. A door leads into the conservatory which overlooks the rear garden. The sitting room and dining room are both located at the front of the home and both offer generous living spaces.

First Floor
The landing provides access to two double bedrooms, the bathroom and airing cupboard. Bedrooms one and two are both generous double rooms and both benefit from built in/fitted storage. The bathroom is fitted with a four piece suite comprising WC, wash basin, bath and shower cubicle.

Outside
The generous rear garden is a particular feature of the home, the majority of the garden is laid to lawn with established hedging, there is summer house, a greenhouse, side access to the front of the home and double gates at the rear opening to the driveway.

Parking
At the rear of the home there is driveway parking, leading to a garage which has an up and over door, power and lighting.
